OUTREACH Prayer Update January 1, 2007
Our church planters depend on the prayers and encouragement of God’s people. OUTREACH NORTH AMERICA provides this monthly prayer letter to inform you of some of their specific needs and praises so you will know better how to pray for them. Thank you for your prayers and the interest you show by your phone and e-mail responses. Your prayers truly encourage your church planters.

African-American mission work
Rev. Stephane Cobbert, intern stephane575@aol.com
Praise God:
- We are starting to meet people in our community. We have connected with four families and three of them have prayed and decided to join our core, the other one is still praying about the matter.
- Monica and I are making attempts to build relationships with our neighbors. We’re going to host a gathering at our home so they can come and fellowship and get to know us as well as give us a chance to know more about them.
- We have a meeting place in the conference room of the Hilton, but they will have some Sundays that are already reserved, so we are praying that we can get into a school. We have already made contact with the school district and they do allow churches to meet in their schools; it’s just a matter of finding a school close to our target location.
Pray for:
- our closer relationship with Christ - deeper devotion & prayer life!
- wisdom & spiritual discernment for pastoring NMCC
- us to be strong stewards of God’s resources
- that we will be spiritual leaders with integrity
- 25 families to start worship on Easter Sunday
- dedicated musician & praise team
- successful fundraising campaign

Exploratory work, Cumming, GA
Rev. Tim Phillips, intern tjparp@juno.com
- Continue to pray for the monthly youth gatherings we are hosting.
- Using meeting space at the local Christian school requires 100% approval from the school board. While I don’t think this will be a problem, it is a hurdle that will need to be overcome.
- In the opening verses of Colossians 4, Paul asks for prayer that God would open doors for the ministry of the word. He also asks for prayer that he would be clear in presenting the word when such opportunities arose. Pray for me that as I continue to lead in chapel at Fideles, and as I begin preparing for studies on Sunday evenings, that the Lord will open doors for His word to go forth, and that I will be clear in proclaiming it.
